An individual cotton hankie screenprinted with a vintage map of Belfast, Northern Ireland.
This print is inspired by a map dating from 1920, and shows key locations at that time in the city, such as St. Anne's Cathedral, the Custom House, Queen's College and the shipbuilding yards.
Green spaces such as Ormeau Park and the Royal Botanic Gardens are also featured. The river Lagan runs through.
This map also has the distance and directions of neighbouring towns marked at the edges.
We source vintage maps to inspire our products, thus creating a historical yet contemporary item of interest - featuring for example old railway stations and streets that no may longer exist. Places change and this item is a snapshot in time, which can bring about reminiscences and conversation.
Each handkerchief is screenprinted by hand in the Mr.PS studio in Salford.
Available in a choice of dark teal blue, and violet.
Made from 100% cotton.
Machine washable 40C.
Sold singly, the hankie comes folded and packed in a compostable bio-film sleeve, wrapped with an embossed paper band.
